Let’s grab a classy bike and cruise around Copenhagen… who’s in??

On another note, I love what the bicycle consulting group, Copenhagenize, is doing.  They’re launching the Kickstand sessions in Spring 2012 to consult North America on the integration of bicycle cultures into it’s cities.  Would be great to see less cars and more bikes in southern California… and with wheels this dope out there, who needs an engine?

This one’s for all the men out there that read my blog.  If I were a dude, I’d invest in some pieces from Outlier.  Their designs are classic, timeless, and refined… the way clothes should be.  Plus, you would never know it since they look so damn good, but they’re built for performance and are meant to move freely with your every move.  The company started out by creating a good looking pant designed for bike commuting.  They’ve since grown to making a range of high quality pieces that are breathable and durable for movement in every day life.  Not only are they killing it with their line, but how insane is the photography?!

Oh, and they just started a women’s line…….. watch out!

Mountain Biking

We had a pretty rainy winter season here in Southern California.  It seemed never ending, but we definitely needed it.  For about 9 months out of the year, these local mountain biking trails are usually all covered with a light tan brush (that could catch fire instantly).  So when the hills are this green, who wants to stay indoors??  Ever since spring rolled around, I’ve dusted off my mountain bike and have been hitting the trails with maximum intensity.  After getting thrown off my bike a zillion times and tons of purple bruises and bleeding scrapes later, I’ve learned quite a bit from mountain biking…… don’t fall!!! Okay, maybe that’s not an option…. really though, it is a fun way to grow and push yourself.  I’m easily riding over all kinds of gaping crevices and big rocks that once scared the hell out of me. Those massive hill climbs may melt your gams straight off, but I’ve realized that they actually are possible to climb.  You just have to ask yourself…. How bad do you want it?

These trails are only a small part of the big network.  I used my beat up point and shoot again.  There’s some great photo ops up at the top of the mountain overlooking Orange County that I’ll get next time.
